Flores and Gamaliel Lead Graham To 4th Straight Win

Graham made the most of their shots Monday evening as they bested Cummings in soccer 2-1. Cummings got off 16 shots to Graham's 7.
Graham got on the scoreboard first when Jose Flores took a pass from Gexar Martinez and pushed it past Cummings goalkeeper Josue Capilla in the 4th minute of play. Cummings struck back 10 minutes later, when Manuel Garcia-Cruz wiggled through Graham's defense and scored unassisted.
With both teams playing a playoff-type atmosphere and intensity, the referee had his yellow card flying. In a brief 5 minute span, approximately 6 or so were issued. Graham ended up the evening being booked 5 yellow cards, while Cummings was right behind with 4. Graham was whistled for an astonishing 24 folus, while Cummings was called for 18.
With 11 minutes remaining, Graham's Gamaliel Morales sped past the Cavalier defense and booted a shot past a diving Capilla to give Graham a 2-1 lead they would not relinquish.
Cummings had 5 corner shots to Graham's 0. Luis Camacho recorded 6 saves for the Red Devils, while Cumming's Capilla had 1.
With the win, Graham moves to 5-6-3, 4-3-1 in the Mid-State 2-A Conference. Cummings dropped to 5-12, 5-5.
